Tourism growth success
Visitor spend across Blaby District has smashed the target set by the Council in its bid to make the area one of Leicestershire's leading, most welcoming and sustainable tourism destinations.
In Blaby District Council's current Tourism Growth Plan one aim was to increase the value of tourism by £50 million on 2016's baseline level of £159 million.

The Secretary of State for Transport has said she is "minded to refuse consent" for the 662-acre Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange (HNRFI) - but needs further information before making a final decision.

A new, electric street sweeper is cleaning up Blaby District after the Council received £573,701 to help improve air quality under the banner of Let's Go Electric.
